If you’d told me a few years ago that I’d be making content for a living, I would’ve laughed and probably checked your temperature. Seriously, creating content was never part of the plan. Before the pandemic, I had a balloon business! No, seriously! Balloon decor was what I did!

But sometimes life decides to throw a wrench in your carefully laid plans (and by “wrench,” I mean a global pandemic).

Anywho...there I was stuck at home with three kids who suddenly needed me as a teacher, lunch lady, and referee, all while keeping up with this thing called “virtual learning.” If you know anything about me, it's that I have ADHD, and chaos follows me everywhere! And being locked up during a pandemic with 3 kiddos DEFINITELY provided me with an extra dose of chaos!

Like many parents, I was bored out of my mind and needed an escape. So, one day, I picked up my phone and decided to record a hilarious prank that I pulled on my oldest son. Little did I know, people actually found it funny—like, really funny. One video led to another, and before I knew it, my posts were blowing up, and people were following along to laugh with me.

The Reality of Accidental Online Fame

At first, I thought it was a fluke. Surely, the internet would get tired of me eventually, right? But nope! People kept coming back for more. Turns out, parents everywhere were looking for an escape from the pandemic blues, and who was I to deny them a laugh or two? Somehow, between wrangling snack requests and navigating video calls, I realized I had fallen into this role of “influencer.”

Let’s just say it was a bit of a shock. I mean, I’m just a mom, right? But seeing how much joy my content brought people made me realize that maybe, just maybe, I had stumbled into something special. I had found a way to connect with people in a time when connection was hard to come by, and I could bring a smile to their faces, even if just for a minute.

It’s wild to think that it’s been nearly five years since I first downloaded TikTok. Never in a million years did I imagine I’d be doing this as a job. But here I am! Like many content creators, I stumbled upon this world almost by accident, only to discover that it was full of opportunities to do what I truly love. And I’m so grateful I found it!

What's Next?

Honestly? Who knows! This journey has already surprised me more than I could have ever imagined. I’m learning as I go, balancing the craziness of content creation with the craziness of family life, and trying to find new ways to connect with people. I never planned on being an influencer, but I’m grateful that I get to bring a little joy and laughter to my followers.

So here’s to the unexpected twists in life, the hilarious chaos of parenthood, and to all of you who laugh along with me. Thanks for being here!
